I’m Dr. Ezela “E-Z” Agolli Bagsby — a doctorally prepared pediatric nurse practitioner, professor, and founder of Sun and Salt Pediatrics. After spending years in hospitals and traditional practices, I saw firsthand how disconnected, rushed, and transactional healthcare had become. Even as a medical professional, I know what it’s like to feel dismissed during a visit — and I promised no family under my care would ever feel that way.
That promise is what led me to create Sun and Salt Pediatrics — a space where we care deeply, listen fully, and treat the whole child: mind, body, and spirit. I’ve cared for children in the NICU, primary care, urgent care, neurology, and concussion clinic settings. I also teach future nurse practitioners and trained extensively in functional and integrative pediatrics. Each of these experiences shaped the thoughtful, whole-child approach we bring to every family at Sun and Salt.
When I’m not seeing patients, you’ll find me outdoors with my husband Phil, moving through a yoga flow, lifting weights, or chasing sunsets. I believe health is about more than medicine — it’s about presence, purpose, and human connection. That’s what Sun and Salt is all about.

My husband, Phil, plays a big role in the heart and flow of Sun and Salt Pediatrics. With a background in project management and system design, he helps bring structure and intention to everything we do — from behind-the-scenes operations to the way our practice grows with purpose.
Together, we saw how often families were met with rushed visits, generic care, and long waits. We knew there had to be a better way — something more human, more connected, and more thoughtful. Phil’s passion lies in creating systems that serve people, not the other way around, and his steady vision has been part of this journey from day one.
When he’s not supporting Sun and Salt, you’ll usually find us exploring a new trail, chasing sunsets, or just soaking in the beauty of everyday life.
